Selling Scrolls of Enchant using EnchantShop Part 2

Hi Peeps!  Here's my follow up guide to using EnchantShop for your scroll business.  Part 1 can be found here, in which we looked at setting up the addon.  Now we'll take a look at putting it into practice.

The first thing you'll want to do once you've set it up is make some scrolls and for that you'll need some mats of course!  Both of these functions are built into EnchantShop, although I prefer to buy my mats another way but that's for another post ;)

Lets have a look at the changes that it makes to your AH and crafting windows.  Unfortunately, the addon isn't compatible with any tradeskill addons, so if you use Advanced Trade Skill Window or Skillet, you're gonna have to disable that.  Don't wanna relog? Got get Addon Control Panel.

Okay, so in the top left of the AH frame, you'll see two buttons - one with a scroll, which we'll come to later, and one with a crystal - click that one to open up the purchasing interface.  To the bottom right will be two buttons which allow you to open your tradeskill windows alongside the AH.

At the bottom of the tradeskill window are two additional buttons - show stack and restock.  Show stack prints out a list in trade of which scrolls you need to craft according to the settings you've entered as well as what mats you are missing.  Restock will create each scroll in turn, providing you have the mats.  Click Show Stack so you know what you need to buy.

Back in the AH window is a list of all the materials you might needs.  In the screenie above, I've already done a scan on Dream Shards and Greater Cosmic Essence.  You'll see that there are 249 GCE on the AH and 29 in my bags, ranging from 19G ea to 40G each, my price being 20G.  It always list the cheapest stack first - in this case 19G.  If you want to buy that stack, click Buy Stack to the right hand side.  There are single arrows and double arrows which will skip to the next stack or the next stack with a different quantity respectively.

All this information is also handily represented by a bar graph.  Green bars show mats under your price, and red bars over your price so you can easily see when there are a lot of cheaply available materials on the auction house.  The higher the bar, the more mats at that price.

Once you've bought and collected your mats from the mail, all you need to do is click Restock in the tradeskill window until you've crafted them all.

Now you'll want to open up the AH again and click the scroll button to the top left.  First things first, hit the perform scan button.

This scan shows me that I have 8 types of scroll at the cheapest price, 28 types have been undercut and that 25 types can't be undercut at the prices I have set for my mats.  There are none I can post for higher and I have at least one of all my selected types of scroll up on the AH.

If we look at the listing for 2H Weapon - Greater Savagery (which has been undercut), the numbers to the right mean that mine is listed for 99g, which is 35g above my material price, but that I have been undercut by 10s.  To the right of that, the numbers mean that I have four of these scrolls posted, and that there are a further 12 up from other posters.  You can scroll through all the different scrolls using the double arrows at the bottom.

In this screen you can decide to automatically cancel your auctions, based on the rules in the checkboxes on the left.

All that's left to do now is hit the post button (make sure your scan is current - just hit Perform Scan again) and EnchantShop will automagically populate the auction house with your scrolls, undercutting your competition if your pricing allows it, or posting to a fallback price (default is 300G above material cost).

That's all there is to it, aside of course from coming back a a while later to collect all that gold you've just made!

Hope you've found this guide useful.  If you have any questions, or would like me to feature any other addons I use, feel free to drop me a line in the comments below!

  1. I think both skillet and ATSW support a hotkey-function that brings up the old Trade Skill Window without having to disable them. The default for me is shift. So if i hold shift and click my enchanting button, then the original window comes up instead of Skillet or ATSW.

  5. a question: is this addon compatible with altaholic? I would like to use my bank alt for posting and my level 80 for restocking/crafting.

Sorry if this was mentioned in part 1. I am going to check if it is right now!
